Our Mission

I aim to have the following as my motivation in the practice of law:
"Provide justice for the needy, and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and destitute." Psalms 82:3 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To do justly, and to love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8 (NIV)

David L. Miller

Managing Attorney

My passion for the law started out of college, where I worked at Metmor Financial as a paralegal. During my time at Metmor, I was able to gain an insight into the legal field. I moved in 1997 to Topeka, KS, where I accepted a position as a paralegal for the Kansas State Appellate Defender Office. While there, I was able to implement my love of research and writing. I graduated from Washburn University in 2000 with a degree in History and Political Science. In 2004 I met Mr. Ney and was hired as a paralegal for Ney and Adams law firm. While working with the firm I was able to continue my passion for research and writing, I also became involved in Federal Death Penalty work.

My passion for the law eventually led me to Law School in 2012. I applied and was accepted to the University of Missouri Kansas City. While in law school, I was able to work on the law review, death penalty clinic and had an internship at the ACLU. While in law school I was given the opportunity to work with the Midwest Innocence Project. One of the highlights of law school was to be able to represent an innocent man before the Missouri Court of Appeals. After graduating in 2015, I was accepted to the Kansas State Bar and worked at Ney, Adams & Miller, where I specialized in criminal law, traffic, post conviction and appellate work.

In July of 2020 I decided to go solo and open my own Law Office. The Law Office of David L. Miller, LLC was created July 20, 2020. I practice in Criminal Law, Religious Liberty Issues, Estate Planning and Probate as well as Civil Litigation and Real Property.
