FAQ'S
1) Do I need a lawyer if I haven’t been charged yet?
Yes. If police are contacting you, you’ve been arrested, or you believe charges may be coming, speaking with a criminal defense attorney early can protect your rights and help avoid mistakes that can harm your case.
2) What should I do if the police want to question me?
Be polite, but do not answer questions or explain your side without a lawyer. You can say: “I’m invoking my right to remain silent and I want an attorney.” Then stop talking. Anything you say can be used against you.
3) What happens at my first court appearance (arraignment)?
At arraignment, the court tells you the charges, you enter a plea (often “not guilty” initially), and the judge may address bail and release conditions. We can appear with you, explain what to expect, and start building your defense plan immediately.
